Limited vs Potential Atonement.

I have been having an interesting discussion over at The Reformed Theology Institute forums regarding the above title.

Your writings are wonderful. I wish I could learn to understand and write on doctrine and the bible like you do. Yes, I understand that everything must be subjected to God's written Word. I have been coming to trust Reformed doctrine as it faithfully draws from Scripture. For that reason I find you work enjoyable, and I envy it. You seem to have a clear head for these things. I have lived in two cultures, been a preacher's ( PCUSA, who never did really go into doctrine- but God kept him anyway) -son, now 50 yr old, dyslexic. I currently don't read scripture daily. I want to grow my Biblical understanding like you have. I remember your short description on how you would read much in your life. It seems like you grasp it the first time. My mind seems too un-ordered. Connections are to be mused upon. My sinfulness plagues my understandings in that some routes of thought are just doubts, not God given. This doubting is not my emotional predilection, but seems to be in the 'modern arrogance' kind of thing. I keep watch on that. That is one reason I love God's Grace in the Doctrines of Grace. It seems that the hard work to get to where you are is different for me than you.... I hope you don't mind my personal stuff, but I just wanted you to know where I am coming from. I want to understand this Biblical doctrine like you do! --I talk to others about Christ at work, but not too often.
